Rita Wiersma, President and CEO of Accord, is celebrating 10 years of transformative leadership in disability services. Leading a team of dedicated professionals, Rita has grown Accord into a statewide leader known for quality, innovation, and person-centered care. With expertise in strategic planning, program development, and mergers and acquisitions, she has expanded services to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and serious mental illness to live their greatest lives. Prior to Accord, Rita held executive roles with Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan, overseeing teams of up to 800 staff and budgets exceeding $20 million. Her vision and advocacy have advanced both organizational excellence and systemic change in Minnesota’s disability services. Rita’s decade-long leadership is a testament to her commitment to building stronger communities and creating lasting impact.
