Jose Castillo, MBA, PMP

Jose Castillo serves as Chief Information Officer at Alera Health, leading initiatives in data ingestion, normalization, analysis, and visualization, leveraging AI and machine learning to translate large, complex datasets into actionable insights for healthcare organizations. An engineer by training, Jose joined Alera in 2018. Prior to Alera, he spent over 17 years as an Engineering Manager for a leading engineering and construction firm in Venezuela, leading large, multidisciplinary, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects in complex, multicultural environments globally. In academia, he spent more than 15 years as an assistant professor, teaching structural steel design, project management, and calculus, and advising 20+ undergraduate and graduate research projects. Jose brings expertise in project management, business process improvement, data analytics, financial analysis, and operations to drive innovation in healthcare.
