Stacy Bowles brings a strong background in business development and over 20 years of communications experience to the OPEN MINDS team. In her current role as Senior Consultant, she is leading OPEN MINDS projects in the areas of marketing strategy, strategic planning and EHR vendor selection and implementation. Prior to joining OPEN MINDS, Ms. Bowles was a Senior Content Development Analyst at Sodexo where she managed new sales and retention bids ranging in value from $2M to over $100M. In her role, Ms. Bowles conducted critical analyses of business opportunities, working collaboratively with inter-organizational teams to produce strong proposals, winning business across the organization’s global footprint. Within Sodexo’s wide range of on-site services, Ms. Bowles was the lead proposal writer and a respected contributor in strategy and solution development for Fortune 500 clients such as: the world’s top automobile manufacturers, world-renown retailers and publishing entities, the world’s most booked airlines, top consumer-facing insurance and financial institutions, global conglomerates, and several high-profile quasi-governmental entities. In addition to proposal writing, she conducted primary and secondary research to develop white papers, create case studies, and glean strategic insights in areas such as consumer experience, design thinking, health and wellness, multi-generational workforce issues, and sustainability within the supply chain. Prior to her time at Sodexo, Ms. Bowles was an Account and Technical Project Manager at d’Vinci Interactive where she worked collaboratively with clients such as the American Board of Pediatrics, American Board of Medical Specialties, American Board of Family Medicine, and the National Institutes of Health to develop web-based continuing medical education (CME) activities and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) self-assessments. Ms. Bowles has also served as the Media and Communications Manager for USRA (a non-profit, space science research organization) where she provided creative and strategic vision for external and internal communication including the association’s websites; employee, member, and vendor web portals; public relations campaigns; education, STEM outreach, and advocacy materials; whitepapers, annual and technical reports; sales materials, presentations, and marketing collateral; employee newsletters and recruitment collateral. In this role, Ms. Bowles produced content for a broad constituency of users ranging from government officials to highly scientific and technical subject matter experts to students and the general public. On any given day Ms. Bowles was challenged to promote the association’s experiments onboard the International Space Station, demonstrate the importance of tracking near-Earth asteroids across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, and produce content suitable to distribute at Michelle Obama’s “Joining Forces” Campaign stop at Andrews Airforce Base. Ultimately, her efforts with USRA were recognized by NASA through a group achievement award for her graphic design and animation work on a NASA-funded website. Ms. Bowles received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management from Hood College, with a concentration in Marketing. Prior to that, she received an Associate of Arts Degree in Graphic Design from Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts.
