Melissa Odorzynski joined Genoa in September 2006 to open a pharmacy within Journey Mental Health Center in Madison, WI. The pharmacy quickly grew to be one of Genoa’s most successful operations.
In January 2008, Odorzynski was promoted to Regional Manager, supervising company operations for the Midwest. While in this role, she developed a training program for pharmacy managers and subsequently transitioned into the role of Director of Training. In 2010, she was instrumental in creating an online training program for all employees, Genoa University, and continues to oversee the program today.
In March 2011, Odorzynski joined the sales team as a National Sales Manager, developing partnerships with mental health organizations to provide on-site pharmacy services. In October 2012, she began leading the team as the Director of National Sales. Odorzynski transitioned into the role of Vice President, Marketing and Strategy in August 2014, with a greater focus on strategic planning for the company, including managing M&A efforts and strategic partnerships with payers and providers.
Before joining Genoa, Odorzynski worked as a pharmacist for CVS in Baltimore, MD. Odorzynski graduated from Drake University with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 2005 and earned her Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in 2007. Odorzynski earned her Certification in Mental Health First Aid USA in August of 2013.
