Jerold Greer has been a thought leader in Behavioral Healthcare Information Technology for nearly 4 decades, designing and implementing multiple award-winning Electronic Health Record systems. In 2004, Jerold, as the Chief Information Officer, became a founding management team member that formed Daymark Recovery Services, a CCBHC organization that has grown to serve over 50,000 patients annually through a vast network of outpatient walk-in centers, inpatient crisis programs, mobile crisis teams, and other specialty services across the state of North Carolina, including the newest Tailored Care Management program. Jerold is passionate about interoperability, and how real-time healthcare data exchange between providers at a nationwide level can save lives through Care Management. He believes that Care Managers are the Genetic Engineers of the future, where they will wield great power by influencing behavior that modifies individuals’ epigenetics and microbiomes in a manner that can eliminate much of the pain, suffering and cost seen in today’s healthcare system. In his free time, he enjoys time with this 3 small grandchildren, experimenting with his own biohacking routines for healthspan, and routinely volunteering his time to participate in NIH studies focused on epigenetic and microbiome research to help his Care Management dream come true.
