As Vice President for Research Advancement, April Bragg, PhD, is responsible for securing research partners to advance Centerstone Research Institute’s initiatives. She oversees research advancement through cultivation of strategic partnerships, philanthropy, national visibility and awareness in an effort to advance the science of behavioral healthcare. In addition, Dr. Bragg oversees CRI’s Knowledge Network, a research initiative that addresses the science-to-service gap in behavioral health care by fostering partnerships with researchers and community mental health centers across the US. Dr. Bragg has secured private sector contributions of over $3 million and assisted on federal proposals to bring in over $10 million for behavioral health service evaluation projects. She received her Ph.D. in cell biology from Vanderbilt University and Bachelor of Science in biology from Emory and Henry College. Dr. Bragg completed postdoctoral training in physiology and biophysics at University of Washington and has been recognized by the Nashville Business Journal as a Top Forty Under 40.
