Ed Connors is the CEO and guiding force behind Heudia Health where he leads a highly skilled team of experienced business leaders and technologists with significant expertise in innovation strategy, artificial intelligence, cognitive science, technology leadership, and healthcare technology.
He is a passionate engineer and problem-solver who utilizes technology to solve critically important problems that constructively disrupts health care to reduce the cost of care for providers and payors. His solution has proven highly effective in transforming resource directories and referral networks into an actively engaged, community-focused collaborations that better address the complex needs of a patient population who are isolated, lacks access to care, and suffers from inadequate social support.
Ed served as Principal Investigator Phase I/II Small Business Innovative Research Contract with the USDA-NIFA relating to the problem of Childhood Obesity. His leading-edge work on this contract resulted in key discoveries and innovations that advanced the art of population health and have proven to make a positive impact across all transitions of care and many health conditions. He is most passionate about maternal health, behavioral health, affordable housing, rural health, and STEM Education.
He has commercialized 12 years of research experience into one of the timeliest and most innovative healthcare platform offerings to market, AccessMeCare™. This platform empowers community-based care teams to better serve vulnerable individuals with complex care needs and has been proven to rapidly engage hard to reach individuals within the Medicaid and Medicare populations.
Ed also led the National Healthy Start Association’s Maternal and Child Health’s HIE Interoperability Toolkit program funding by The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) and was nominated for the National Medal of Technology and Innovation in April 2016 for his work to align medical care with the social determinants of health.
