In 2017, the Elwyn Board appointed Charles “Chuck” S. McLister, MA, MBA to be Elwyn’s ninth President and CEO. In his first year, McLister reconstituted the organization’s leadership team, explicitly established the agency’s Core Values, and launched a Strategic Steering Committee—comprising members of Elwyn’s leadership, its board of directors, and a cadre of expert volunteer advisors—to develop a 5-year strategic plan that will carry the organization through 2022.

Prior to joining Elwyn, Chuck served as the Chief Operating Officer at Bancroft, headquartered in New Jersey, and was responsible for the performance of all of the agency’s service lines, including education, acute behavioral health, community residential, and healthcare. In addition, Chuck led the agency’s support teams, including nursing, human resources, information technology, facilities and construction management, and continuous quality improvement.

Chuck has spent nearly 30 years in the field of behavioral health, including executive positions at subsidiaries of Acadia Healthcare and Universal Health Services, Inc. He has provided or supervised services such as autism services psychiatry, treatment for specialized diagnoses including acquired brain injuries, neurology services, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Chuck has an MA degree in Applied Psychological Research from Penn State University and an MBA from Villanova University.
