Cynthia joined Skyland Trail in 2011. Located in Atlanta, Skyland Trail is a nationally recognized nonprofit mental health organization treating adults ages 18 and older. The goal of the organization is to help individuals recover from mental illness and live as independently and successfully as possible in the community. In her role, Odom oversees marketing, community education, communications, admissions, and business development. Cynthia has held senior positions in corporate for-profit and not-for-profit behavioral health corporations for more than 25 years. Her professional experience in sales, communications, internet communications, marketing, business development, referral relations, strategic planning, and public relations uniquely qualifies her to help companies create systems, accelerate growth and generate revenue. She served as a board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Douglas County and also was a member of the Georgia Hospital Association Psychiatric Association, Georgia Public Relations Society of America, and the American Marketing Association. Odom received her Bachelor of Arts in Business from University of Memphis. Prior to joining Skyland Trail, Odom held leadership positions at Inner Harbour Hospital/Youth Villages, Georgia’s largest youth treatment center offering a variety of therapeutic and educational services for children ages 6 to 18. Odom has held marketing positions at HCA Montevista Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, and United Airlines in Houston, TX.
