This begs the question: with so much visibility around suicide in the U.S., is the current approach of assessment and safety planning enough? We propose that with increased access to evidence-based resources healthcare organizations can create comprehensive population-specific plans for suicide risk reduction, not just management. During this session, the potential within our evolving healthcare systems to use healthcare analytics to identify high risk patients and provide them with targeted treatment strategies. We will also discuss how assessment of provider readiness to address suicide with patients can guide provider education initiatives and promote better patient care. Course Objectives:
